Q. When does the tour begin and end?
A. The tour begins at 6:00 p.m. and ends at 9:00 p.m. In order to see all the homes in the time allowed, please begin the tour promptly at 6:00 p.m. and make every effort to complete your tour by closing time at 9:00 p.m.
Remember, this event is staffed by students and held on a school night.
Q. Can I tour the homes earlier than 6:00 p.m.?
A. No. Please, remember the houses on the tour are private homes and are only available for touring during the allotted time.
Q. Do I need a ticket to tour the homes?
A. Yes, tickets are validated at the entrance to each home please have your tickets ready to ensure entry.
Q. Are restrooms available on the tour?
A. Yes, there are restrooms available; temporary facilities will be available at a designated location. Restroom facilities will not be available in any of the homes.
Q. Can I take pictures of the homes?
A. No photos are to be taken inside the homes. Please remember these are private homes.
Q. How can I get pictures of the homes to commemorate going on the tour?
A. Photos of the homes will be available on the website after the date of the tour.
Q. Is there much walking involved in the tour?
A. Yes, be sure to wear comfortable, low-heeled walking shoes. All guests will be provided with paper booties to wear over their shoes – one size fits all.
Q. Is the tour handicap accessible?
A. Please remember these are private homes, handicap accommodations may not be available. Please be careful with steps and stairs. Remember: Staircases on the tour are always an option you may choose to bypass.
Q. Are there steps or stairs?
A. Probably; steps into, out of and or around inside the homes are common in our area. Additionally, there are two story (and even multi-storied) homes on the tour. Please be careful with steps and stairs. Remember you can choose not to climb the stairs and simply skip that part of the tour.
Q. Are children allowed on the tour?
A. Yes, children are allowed on the tour. Please remember children must have their own ticket and those under the age of 15 must be accompanied by an adult. Please hold small children by the hand while touring the homes. No strollers, please.
Q. Are there any hints, tips, or suggestions while on the tour?
Wear comfortable, low-heeled walking shoes.
We recommend bringing along a flashlight.
There is no food, drinks, smoking, picture taking or bathroom use in the homes.
